On the eve of the Republican National Convention, the party’s presumptive presidential nominee, Mitt Romney, and his wife Ann sit for an exclusive interview for “Fox News Sunday” that leads the Sunday television talk shows anchored largely at the convention site in Tampa, Fla.
Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus also makes the rounds, appearing on Bloomberg TV’s “Political Capital,” CNN’s “State of the Union” and CBS’s “Face the Nation.”
CNN also has Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison (R-Texas), Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, a Republican who survived a spirited recall election this summer, Al Cardenas, chairman of the American Conservative Union, and Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley, chairman of the Democratic Governors Association.
Additionally, CBS has a co-chair of the Republican Platform Committee, Tennessee Rep. Marsha Blackburn, along with former Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio – both Republicans.
NBC’s “Meet the Press,” meanwhile, hosts former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, who passed early on a bid for the GOP presidential nomination, along with Arizona Sen. John McCain, the 2008 Republican presidential standard bearer, and the Democratic National Committee chairwoman, Florida Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz.
ABC’s “This Week” has the chairman of the GOP Platform Committee, Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell, and the chairman of the Democratic National Convention, Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa.
