Democrats take center stage on this Sunday’s television talk shows leading up to the Democratic National Convention next week in Charlotte, N.C.

The convention chairman, Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, has a full slate of appearances, stopping by ” “Fox News Sunday,” CNN’s “State of the Union,” Univision’s “Al Punto” and C-SPAN’s “Newsmakers,” where he’ll be interviewed by Major Garrett of the National Journal and Peter Nicholas of The Wall Street Journal.

CNN also has Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley, chairman of the Democratic Governors Association, along with the vice chair, North Carolina Gov. Bev Perdue.

CBS’s “Face the Nation” also has O’Malley, former Democratic New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson and Stephanie Cutter, the deputy manager of President Barack Obama’s reelection campaign.

NBC’s “Meet the Press” hosts Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, the former Democratic congressman who was Obama’s first White House chief of staff — and has a political roundtable featuring former Republican presidential contender Newt Gingrich and former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina, vice chair of the National Republican Senatorial Committee.

ABC’s “This Week” has senior White House adviser David Plouffe, pro-Obama super PAC Priorities USA co-founder Bill Burton and Romney campaign senior adviser Kerry Healey, the former lieutenant governor of Massachusetts.
