Democrats for Progress Blog, the week in review
If you haven't checked out the DFP Blog this week, here's what you missed:

It's bad enough to vote against your own interests; what's even worse is voting against everyone's interests. Nance Rants about Republican voters, their warped values, their twisted beliefs, and their candidates.

Brainwreck returns with meditations on a chance encounter in a checkout line, and offers an urgent reminder to Republican women: "It is a war out there and you are right in the center of the target."

George Will gets paid handsomely to write utter nonsense. They Said What? #29 tears his argument to shreds for free, with a little help from Ed Rollins.

George Will is still an amateur, though, compared to, say, Rush Limbaugh, who has lost 50 sponsors (and counting) but can console himself with an STFU award from Nance Greggs. Congrats, Rush!

Walter Rhett argues persuasively that a sort of neo-colonial paradigm for education has condemned children to a culture of survival and despair. In its place, he posits a new paradigm to re-energize education, replacing "finger-pointing, blame, or labels" with "reconciliation and justice," in this week's Digging Deeper.

With the help of an up-and-coming young editor, The Desperate Blogger gets the scoop on the RNC's new direction: giving up on regaining the White House, concentrating on Congress, and making over the party's image with a forward-thinking new logo.

This week's Take Five is flabbergasted by the commercialization of Sheriff Joe Arpaio's cold case posse, amused by the plumbing issues of One Million Moms, really amused by the plumbing issues of the Ohio 9th District, disgusted by a Republican and heartened by a Democrat, and eager to bid adieu to the 112th Congress.

Chris Weigant ups his primary prediction accuracy to 65%, bestows another Most Impressive Democrat of the Week award on Sandra Fluke, and offers some pertinent talking points to fight back against the Republican War on Women in this week's Friday Talking Points.

Nance urges Republicans to turn their clocks ahead, about 250 years. For the rest of us, one hour will do.

And RL Gardner's Sunday Talks finds Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich making the rounds as they head into final campaigning before Tuesday's Alabama and Mississippi primaries.
